The Kew Beach Neighbourhood Association was first formed in the spring of 2009 by local residents concerned about a proposed new multi-storey condominium development at 66-76 Kippendavie Ave. Our association and this website also provides information about the development proposed for 17-19 Kippendavie Avenue.
Some of the early members joined us through www.kippendavieave.com or www.wqkk.org. Both of these sites were established by individuals or members of our group during the beginning stages. The Official web site for the Kew Beach Neighbourhood Association is now www.kbna.org
Today we represent over 250 Beach residents who share our concern about the ever increasing pressure on our neighbourhood by developers looking to build large and intrusive multi-residential developments.
The Association does not oppose new development nor the construction of multi-residential units. However, we believe that any development must be in keeping with the general residential neighbourhood character of the Beach and Kippendavie Avenue.
